AzulfidineIn Chinese medicine, an extract of Tripterygium wilfordii Hook F (TwHF) has been used to treat autoimmune and inflammatory conditions for generations. Now a study supported by the National Institute of Arthritis and Muscu-loskeletal and Skin Diseases has shown that TwHF extract worked better than generic sulfasalazine in attaining 20% improvement in American College of Rheumatology (ACR) criteria at 24 weeks.
